Terms of Service

By using Modern Dating, you agree to these terms. If any part doesn't work for you, please don't use the site. We wrote this to protect both you and the community.

1. Age. You must be 18 or older. No exceptions. We verify age during signup.
2. Honest profiles. Use a real name or consistent nickname, a real photo, and truthful info. No impersonation, no fake accounts.
3. Your content. You own what you post. You give us permission to display it on the platform so other members can see it.
4. Our service. We try hard to keep the site running and safe, but we can't promise zero downtime. We may update features, policies, or pricing with notice.
5. Ending your account. You can leave any time. We may suspend accounts that break these rules, especially around safety.
6. Liability. Meeting people online carries normal risks. Please read our safety guide. We're not responsible for what members do off-platform.

Acceptable Use Policy

This is a respectful community. The following is not allowed and will get you removed:

• Harassment, slurs, or ableist language of any kind
• Fetishizing disability, devotee behavior, or treating members as a kink
• Asking intrusive medical questions or pressuring disclosure
• Requesting or sending money, gift cards, or crypto
• Sharing explicit images without clear, enthusiastic consent
• Fake profiles, catfishing, or bot activity
• Soliciting business, promoting outside services, or spamming
• Sharing another member's private info, photos, or screenshots off-platform

Report anything that crosses a line using the in-app report tool or by emailing our safety team. Every report is reviewed by a human within 24 hours.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters - especially on a disabled dating site, where disclosure is personal. Here's exactly what we do and don't do with your information.

What we collect

• Profile info you share: name, age, location (city only), photos, interests, and any disability details you choose to add.
• Account data: email address, password (encrypted), login times, device type, and IP address for security.
• Messages: stored so you can read your conversations. Only you and the other person see them.
• Usage data: basic analytics like pages viewed and features used, so we can improve the product.

Why we collect it

To run the service, match you with compatible members, keep the community safe, and follow the law. That's it. We don't build advertising profiles about you, and we never sell your information to anyone.

How long we keep it

Active profile data stays as long as your account is open. After you delete, personal data is erased within 30 days. Some records (like abuse reports or legal logs) may be kept longer where the law requires it.

Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files your browser stores so a site can remember you. We use them in three simple ways.

Essential cookies keep you logged in and the site working. You can't turn these off without breaking the experience. Preference cookies remember settings like dark mode or your chosen language. Analytics cookies help us count how many people visit each page, with no personal identifiers attached.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies from third parties. You can manage cookies in your browser settings at any time. A cookie banner appears the first time you visit, so you can choose what to accept.

How We Handle Your Data

• Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest on our servers.
• Only a small trained team can access member data, and only when needed for safety or support.
• We never sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or researchers.
• Disability-related information is treated as sensitive data and is never shared without your direct consent.
• We use reputable US-based hosting providers with SOC 2 certification.
• If a breach ever affected your data, we would tell you within 72 hours.

Your Rights and Account Deletion

You have clear rights over your data. To use any of them, email [email protected] and we'll respond within 7 days.

1. Access: ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
2. Correction: fix anything inaccurate in your profile or account.
3. Deletion: remove your account and personal data within 30 days.
4. Portability: download your profile and messages in a standard format.
5. Objection: opt out of analytics or non-essential processing.
6. Consent withdrawal: change your disclosure settings or revoke permissions anytime.

To delete your account yourself, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. You'll get a confirmation email, and your profile disappears from the site right away.

Child Safety and CSAE Policy

Modern Dating is a platform for adults only. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Anyone under 18 is not allowed to use this site. Attempting to contact, groom, or share harmful material involving a minor will result in an immediate permanent ban and a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the appropriate law enforcement agency.

We use age verification at signup, automated detection tools for known CSAM, and a 24-hour human moderation queue for any report involving a suspected minor. To report a child safety concern, email [email protected] immediately. You can also report directly to NCMEC's CyberTipline at 1-800-843-5678 or report.cybertip.org.

State-Specific Safety Notices

Some U.S. states require dating platforms to post additional safety information. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of data sale - we don't sell data, but you can still file a request. Colorado residents are covered by our online dating safety disclosures, including fraud warnings and safer-meeting guidance. Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, and Texas residents have similar consumer privacy rights under state law. Washington residents are protected under the My Health My Data Act for any sensitive health-related information they share. To exercise any state right, contact our legal team below.
